Our Divisions
Victim Advocate
At the Hampton County Sheriff's Office, we understand the importance of providing support and assistance to individuals who have been affected by crime. Our Victim Advocate plays a crucial role in our commitment to serving the needs of victims and their families during difficult times.
Our Victim Advocate is a dedicated professional who offers compassionate support, guidance, and resources to victims of crime. They work closely with individuals to ensure that their rights are upheld and that they have access to the information and assistance they need to navigate the criminal justice system.
The responsibilities of our Victim Advocate include providing crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals to community resources. They also assist victims in understanding their rights, obtaining protective orders, and accompanying them to court proceedings if needed. Additionally, our Victim Advocate serves as a liaison between victims and law enforcement.
If you or someone you know has been affected by crime and is in need of support, please reach out to our Victim Advocate at (803) 914-2200. Families of victims may also submit a Victims Remembrance Form.
